Survey Deadline – tomorrow is the deadline to vote for your preferred 2017 summer start time.  Please print out a survey and bring it to the luncheon. There will be a dropbox on the registration table.  To help clarify was was sent previously,  tee times are every nine minutes and our block of times goes for about an hour and 20 minutes.  So for example, if our times start at 7 a.m., the times will end around 8:20 a.m., and so forth.   Please click the link and print out your survey and bring it tomorrow.   If you are not coming to the luncheon, please email or mail your response to Sally.   https://gwgls.org/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/survey-for-2017-website2.pdf

2017 Renewal for membership  – deadline is also tomorrow. Please bring your check to the luncheon.  Remember that your GHIN memberships expire in December.  Early payment keeps your GHIN in tact so you will not have issues and delays at the beginning of the 2017 season.   It is also helpful to the Board in planning next season if we know how many members we can expect.

New memberships – If you know someone new who may want to join us next season, remember that they must contact us first, before sending in any money, so our Membership Chair can personally talk with them and ensure they understand the expectations of members, and what our league can and cannot offer them.  You may forward the link below to any prospective new members:  https://gwgl.wordpress.com/how-to-join-2/

A GWGA survey is being conducted to help us plan start times for Jun, Jul, Aug 2017.   Please print a survey, answer the questions, and drop it in the box available at the clubhouse this Thursday, or at the Luncheon check-in table on Nov 1. Deadline to respond is November 1.   Click here to open and print your survey.  Paper surveys are requested, but if you will not be at either event, you may email your answers to Sally.  

Sign-ups – Last 2 sign ups for the season will be sent tonight around 7 p.m.  October 27  is our Fall invitational.  Instructions for signing up guests will be on the sign up.

Luncheon – Deadline to sign up is Oct 24.  Nov 3, 11am-2pm, Mount Vernon Country Club.  Please bring your luncheon check for $26.50 to the clubhouse or mail it to Lucinda’s home and indicate your food selection (Mediterranean chicken or Classic Cobb Salad with beef tenderloin, or Mixed Vegetable Pasta-Grilled Vegetables).   Bring money for cash bar.

Interested in Penn National?  We have a last minute pre-paid open slot for our most popular golf trip!  Monday Oct 17-19 (carpooling, no one has to drive alone).   2 nights lodging, 2 dinners, 3 breakfasts and 3 rounds of golf.  Weather is going to be GORGEOUS!  15 golfers going. Fall is here and we are fast approaching the end of our season.  A few important items:

October 27, Captain’s Choice and shotgun start. This will be an invitational, you may invite a guest.  We will have light refreshments (no lunch) and there will be some contests and prizes.  The sign up for this will be sent out early on October 16th, same date/time you will receive the Oct 20 sign up.  Details provided in the sign up.

End of Season Awards Luncheon will be Thursday, November 3 at Mount Vernon Country Club. Lucinda Audey is organizing the luncheon and will be collecting $26.50 for the luncheon.  Watch for more information from Lucinda, coming soon.

Dues for 2017 Season – We are asking for your 2017 dues no later than the Nov 3 luncheon, so if you are coming to the luncheon, please bring your checks payable to GWGA.  If you are not attending the luncheon, please mail your dues to Mary Palm’s home address so she receives your check no later than Nov 3.  It is helpful to board members preparing for next season to know how many and who will be returning; it is also helpful to Greendale so they can ensure the GHIN memberships do not expire.  Dues for 2017 are same as 2016:

Annual League membership fee: $50
Annual Greendale GHIN Handicap fee $30
Optional Chip-in fund $6

Total including chip-in fund $86; without chip-in fund $80.
