Handicaps, Mobile GHIN App, ESC Scores

Please be sure you post all your Greendale league day scores in the GHIN system.

For those with a smart phone, there is a GHIN Mobile App you can use on your phone.   Download the free app for your Android or Apple product by entering the key word GHIN Mobile App and search Google Play (formally, the Android Market) or the iTunes Store.

Also, it is to your advantage to post your ESC score versus your raw score, so understand what it is.  ESC scoring is very clearly explained here:  USGA EQUITABLE STROKE CONTROL PROCEDURE.

You may enter your score on the GHIN computer in the clubhouse or you may enter it from your home computer by going to http://www.ghin.com, clicking on “post scores” and entering your GHIN number and last name; or you may also establish a GHIN account using your own user name and password.

If you want to know your GHIN number, Click here for a listing.

Jun 5 Shotgun

Several people have inquired about the shotgun sign-up.  It will be published on schedule, this evening.  The luncheon sign-ups must be separate from golf sign-up because there are some who come for lunch but not for golf and some who play golf but don’t stay for lunch.  It simplifies ordering of food for us to have 2 separate sign ups.

  • Expect to arrive EARLY Thursday – free bunker clinic by Pro, Peter Kim at 7:00 a.m.
  • Those who sign up to start on Hole 1A or 1B MUST WALK.
  • Those who sign up to start on Hole 17A or 17B or 16A or 16B MUST RIDE
  • Walkers or Riders may start on Hole 18A and 18B.

FAQ: Why can’t a rider start on hole 1?  If riders take slots on Hole 1, there are not enough slots available for walkers.   Walkers cannot get back to hole 17 or 16 fast enough to start playing on time so they must start at holes closest to the clubhouse.

FAQ Why can’t a walker start on 16 or 17?  Same reason.  Walkers can’t get back to hole 17 or 16 fast enough to start playing on time so they must start at holes closest to the clubhouse.
