Thanks to Pat Walker for organizing two days of golfing, eating, drinking and merrymaking at The Shenvalee Golf Resort in New Market, Virginia! Check out the photos below, which are also posted on our web page photo gallery.
As soon as we arrived, we teed off to play Miller/Creek courses (two of their three nine-hole courses). In cool weather and surrounded by the beautiful Shenandoah mountains we had some hot scores and that was only the beginning of the fun!
The merrymaking started as we finished the first 18 and gathered in the Sports Bar looking out at the courses and mountains. We celebrated with popcorn and beer until we got checked-in to our rooms. The happy hour then moved to a suite of adjoining rooms and the story telling began of all our miracle shots over valleys and ponds, and up green walls of fairway! We shared cheese, crackers, M&Ms, trail mix, assorted libations and lots of stories.
Day two started with a hearty breakfast and visit to the pro shop to do some shopping! Wait until you see the zip-front argygle sweaters, visors, rain suits and other treasures we purchased before we headed out for our second 18 holes.
If you missed this event, hopefully you can attend the next fun packed event! I think all would agree that we returned inspired to play more golf than ever and enjoyed the opportunity to get to know one another better!
