Thanks to Pat Walker for coordinating another fantastic GWGA golf adventure and to Gary Callis and Melanie Harrison for coming up with this idea!  We used Waggle books at two Williamsburge courses for some inexpensive golf fun.  Twelve golfers enjoyed a one-night stay in Williamsburg and played at Kiskiack and Stonehouse Golf Clubs. Kiskiack was the favorite, and Stonehouse was the most challenging with its steep hills and ravines.  Check out Stonehouse Par 3 photo taken from the forward tee box (first photo shown below).  The second day we teed off about 9 a.m. at Kiskiak on a beautiful, sunny Fall day.  What a gorgeous course!  We stayed the night at the Hampton Inn, had dinner in colonial Williamsburg at Chowning’s Tavern and played Chronology after dinner in Melanie’s room.  If you missed this trip you missed some great golfing, beautiful weather, and lots of fellowship opportunity.

Ladies — Another great GWGA opportunity to try two new golf courses!!!!!

• Nov 1-2 (Tue/Wed) Williamsburg, Virginia.
• Golf at Kiskiack and Stonehouse Golf Clubs.
• Drive down on Tuesday Morning, play 18 holes and have dinner in colonial Williamsburg.  Spend the night, play another 18 and drive home.  It is 2 hours and 20 minutes to Williamsburg and the courses are about 15 minutes apart.
• The courses are in the Waggle book and the cost for each course will be $35/with cart if you have the book (we are trying to round up some extra books for those who may not have one).

We’ve had a great time on our last two overnights, so please join us. Let Pat Walker know via phone 703/765-5355 or email firedawg202@cox.net by Oct 17 so we can find a hotel, make tee times and work out other arrangements like carpools and roommates. Also, if you can’t go but you have a Waggle book we can use, please let Pat know.

It was more than just golf!!!  Thanks to Pat Walker for organizing a wonderful GWGA golf trip.   Check out the photos below for these highlights:

• Intertwined with 18 challenging holes of golf at Cedar Point Golf Course at Patuxent Naval Air Station, we were entertained with Navy airplanes taking off and landing at the runways next to the golf course.
• Melanie steered us to her favorite seafood restaurant in Solomons where we celebrated on the beautiful waterfront.
• Gary, Pat and Mae were gaga over finding Elvis at the Twin Shields snack bar!
• At Twin Shields Golf Club no one ever goes thirsty due to a Pepsi machine and water cooler placed near tee boxes on the course!
